TEDxBroadway Announces Young Professional Program 2019

Young Professional Application Deadline: June 24, 2019

NEW YORK, N.Y. (May 14, 2019) — When the eighth annual TEDxBroadway returns Tuesday, September 24, 2019 to New World Stages to ask, “What’s the BEST Broadway can be?” the next generation of leaders will be part of the conversation. Organizers are now accepting applications for the TEDxBroadway Young Professional Program.

“It’s hugely important to us that young professionals be a part of this conversation that helps shape the future of the Broadway ecosystem,” says Jim McCarthy, CEO, Goldstar and Co-organizer, TEDxBroadway. “While we do sell out every year, this program guarantees a free seat to selected applicants that are really committed to exploring the topic.”

Each year, organizers invite 40 Young Professionals from a large pool of applicants to attend the event and also to participate in a number of activities as a collective group before, during and after the conference. They’ll interact with a wide variety of professionals and leaders in the Broadway community including TEDxBroadway speakers. The goal is to create an environment in which the Young Professionals can network, voice their opinions and insights, and build relationships for later initiatives.

"We’re excited to share new speakers and new ideas with this year’s Young Professionals,” adds Damian Bazadona, founder of Situation and TEDxBroadway Co-organizer. “But it’s equally exciting to have them share their thoughts, ideas and enthusiasm with us. We’re so grateful to have them to help steer the future of Broadway.”

To apply to the TEDxBroadway Young Professional program, applicants must:

TEDxBroadway is co-organized by Damian Bazadona, founder of Situation and Jim McCarthy, CEO of Goldstar and a small group of dedicated volunteers.
